The Metropolitan Police Service has issued revised charges for providing copies of documentation in civil proceedings.
The following most significant changes came into effect on 1 April:
- Charges for civil cases – statements and interviews specifically written by or held with a police officer and/or interviews held with police staff for cases to be held in civil court, have increased from £128 to £131;
- Reconstruction video tapes and DVDs are now £166 per copy;
- Copies of the collision/accident report book and national collision report forms have increased to £128 for the first 25 pages; and
- The cost of providing copy documents, photographs and searches has increased.
