PartnershipPromotions are slowing for the summer, with a lower than average number of new appointments this week.
South London firm Fisher Meredith has almost trebled its partnership by making up seven solicitors:l David Josiah-Lake (family);l Fiona Dunkley (crime);l David Foster (housing);l David Tyme (civil actions); l Pat Wilkins (education and community care);l Douglas Noble (immigration); andl Joy Bailey (property).The firm now has 11 partners.Other partnership appointments are happening in pairs this week:Cambridge firm Silver Fitzgerald has doubled its partnership with the appointment of family law specialist Dawn Casterton and private client lawyer Victoria Davey.
Moving north-west, the Liverpool office of Mace & Jones has appointed two new partners, commercial solicitor Bruce Robinson and employment specialist Emlyn Williams.
At Manchester-based Rowe & Cohen, personal injury specialist Brian Coghlan and Rob Myer have gained positions as partner and associate partner respectively.
Neil Grant has moved from South London firm Capsticks, where he worked as a nursing homes specialist, to Bevan Ashford's London office as partner in its new health and social care group.
The London office of northern firm Addleshaw Booth & Co has recruited finance lawyer Karl Woolley from Macfarlanes to its banking and finance group.

Associates/ assistantsThere were several moves in Leeds during the last week: Douglas Harrison has joined Graham Stowe Bateson's family law unit from Godloves, also in Leeds, where he was head of family law.
Still in Leeds, four lawyers have moved from Eversheds to join Hammond Suddards' commercial property team: Joanna Barton, Martin Grange, Lindsay Jackson and Andrew Sprake.
At Mace & Jones's Manchester office, commercial litigation solicitor Richard Corran has been made an associate and will work with newly qualified assistant Jacqui Stringer in the firm's litigation team.Irwin Mitchell has boosted its travel litigation group at the firm's Birmingham office with the recruitment of five solicitors.
Philip Banks joins the firm from Blythe Liggins; Suki Chhokar from Harris & Cartwright; Juliette Eden from Leigh Day & Co; Simon Taylor from Warder & Rider; and Virginie White, a French qualified lawyer.Family lawyer Richard Dyke has joined London firm Radcliffes, moving from Blaser Mills Winter Taylors.
Also in London, Richard Guyatt joins CMS Cameron McKenna's planning team from Ashurst Morris Crisp.
Andrew Carpenter, corporate partner at London firm Pinsent Curtis, is moving to London-based DLA's Leeds office as a partner to head its Leeds corporate team.Brett Vincent has moved to Simmons & Simmons' Hong Kong office from Australia, where he was senior in-house counsel for Sydney Airports Corporation.
He will work in the firm's development and construction group.

Clifford Chance Rogers & Wells has boosted its Washington DC office by appointing litigator Fred Reinke an 'of counsel'.
He joins from Milbank Tweed Hadley & McClay.
Ken Allison, previously a freelance management consultant, has joined south-west firm Bond Pearce as head of human resources.
Manda Tiernan has been appointed director of IT & communications at Manchester firm Donns, to manage the firm's new information technology infrastucture.
Before joining Donns, Ms Tiernan worked in freelance IT project work.
Hammond Suddards has a new director of marketing - former BBC2 Working Lunch presenter and business journalist Nik Wood.
JUDICIARY
Roger Jarvis has been appointed as a circuit judge on the Western Circuit.
Mr Jarvis was previously a recorder on that circuit.
Charles Wade, formerly district judge and assistant recorder on the Western Circuit, was also appointed to it as a circuit judge this week.
