He comes from waste management company SITA, where he was the legal and compliance director, and also company secretary.Peter Cox, who left the profession in 1999, has rejoined it as an IT partner with Exeter firm Stones.
Mr Cox joined Hubbard Communications, which was taken over last year by Future Internet Technologies (in a 9.4 million deal he negotiated).
He then joined Future's board primarily to assist in the integration of the two companies.Leading Worcester firm Harrison Clark has lured commercial property partner Robert Sprake from Wragge & Co in Birmingham.A management reshuffle at 11-partner Ashford firm Kingsfords, where John Edmonds has taken over as managing partner from Tim Fagg, who has stepped down to devote more time to his other role of senior partner.Similarly in Bristol, Burroughs Day has replaced Ian Southgate, who retired earlier this year as both senior and finance partner after 30 years with the firm.
Head of commercial Chris Northover has become senior partner, while head of personal injury Robin Davey takes over as finance partner.

Brachers has recruited corporate finance lawyer Matthew Newman from DJ Freeman, and French commercial lawyer Fabienne Le Baudy from the Paris office of Linklaters.Promotions galore in Newbury - wills and estate planning specialist Nia Evans has become an associate at Charles Lucas & Marshall, while family lawyer Seona Myerscough and conveyancer Stuart Durrant have reached the same level at Gardner Leader.In the east of England, Ipswich-based family lawyer Martin Ward, who was a partner at Gotelee & Goldsmith has moved to Barker Gotelee as an associate.Cambridge firm Taylor Vinters has recruited planning lawyer Amy Richardson from East Cambridgeshire District Council, where she was the principal solicitor, and promoted personal injury specialist Alison Lee to associate.A triple whammy of associates for Mills & Reeve, which has recruited commercial property lawyer Tim Allsop from Herbert Smith to its Cambridge office, former Crown Prosecutor Tim Lang to the employment practice in Birmingham, and promoted education specialist Judy Roy, also in Cambridge.Peterborough firm Greenwoods has lured employment lawyer Philip Hyland from the Engineering Employers' Federation.Plenty of movement in the midlands as well.
Nottingham firm Freethcartwright has engaged Adam Shore, formerly one of two solicitors at Formula One team British American Racing.Also leaving in-house is franchising expert Vicky Wilkes, who has joined Wragge & Co in Birmingham from Compass Group.Browne Jacobson has added Andrew Thorp to its technical insurance services department in Birmingham from Stallards in Worcester.One in and one out at the renowned licensing team of Birmingham firm Anthony Collins.
