Solicitor Kirsten Tinman has moved with him.In the north-east, Ward Hadaway has swooped on Eversheds to entice construction specialist Jonathan Marshall and property expert Roger Nankervis.With an eye to the future, Worcester-based Harrison Clark has appointed family law specialist Jonathan Brew as senior partner-designate with a view to taking over from David Harrison when he steps down on 1 December 2002.
Mr Brew will have particular responsibility for co-ordinating the firm's marketing activities.Birmingham firm Martineau Johnson has a new partner and head of tax after bringing in Richard Pincher from Wragge & Co.Fellow West Midlands firm Wright Hassall has launched a construction department with the recruitment of a three-man team from Merricks, headed by partner Philip Harris.
He is joined by associate Steve Loftus and trainee Stuart Long.
Maidenhead firm Willmett & Co has promoted conveyancer Tracy Barugh to be its 13th partner.Diana France has left the London office of Manchester firm Halliwell Landau to join Holman Fenwick & Willan as lead partner specialising in non-contentious energy work.City firm Herbert Smith has appointed its head of real estate, Iain Rothnie, as its new executive partner with responsibility for implementing the firm's strategy and for the operational effectiveness of the firm's support groups.
He takes over from Tim Parkes, who moves to become head of Herbert Smith's Asia region.Andrew Steele, a non-contentious construction and engineering lawyer, joins Speechly Bircham from Linklaters.London firm Lane & Partners has promoted commercial property lawyer Calvin Bell, as well as recruiting Peter Knight and Christopher Ryan, who specialise in litigation and construction work, from Vizard Staples & Bannisters.
Mayfair firm Gordon Dadds has promoted family law solicitor Ann Northover to partner.

Staying in Birmingham, The Wilkes Partnership has brought in private finance initiative specialist Mark Miller from Pinsent Curtis Biddle to strengthen its commercial property team.
Stephen Cornfield has moved from Davies Lavery to join the public authority department in Browne Jacobson's Birmingham office.
The firm's London office has recruited professional indemnity lawyer Ed Anderson as an associate, moving from Crutes in Newcastle.Back in Newcastle, Ward Hadaway, as well as new partners, has recruited commercial lawyers Andrew Talbot and Andrew Barnes from Eversheds and Cheshire-based Bowcock Cuerden respectively.
Yorkshire-based Raworths has taken on commercial property associate Simon Morris from DLA and Michael Sheldon moves from Kirbys in Harrogate to join the commercial and domestic property team, also as an associate.
Manchester firm Cunninghams has taken on Adrian Palmer - one half of Hillis-Palmer - who joins as a senior solicitor with his criminal law practice.

OTHERSThe trend of barristers joining law firms has seen City firm Lovells take on Annie Hockaday, previously of 3 Verulam Buildings, in its international litigation team dealing with fraud, contentious insolvency and asset recovery.North-west firm Mace & Jones has recruited Assunta Del Priore from Mitre House Chambers to boost its employment department.Moore & Blatch has added Tim Forer, a former officer and legal adviser in the Royal Navy, as an employment barrister.Plenty of consultants on the move too.
London entertainment firm Clintons has recruited Lucinda Williams as a consultant.
She was previously director of legal and business affairs at Universal Pictures.Worcestershire firm Morton Fisher has taken on non-lawyer Geoffrey Hopton as a consultant to help develop the private client practice.
He was previously regional director of the Country Land and Business Association.Meanwhile, Glenda Davies - one-time director of regulatory policy at the Securities and Futures Authority - has joined Allen & Overy as a regulatory consultant, moving from Norton Rose, where she was responsible for financial services know-how.
Her role will involve a mix of chargeable and non-chargeable work.Eversheds' Birmingham office has appointed accountant Graham Morgan from Ernst & Young to work with tax specialists across the firm.
