Multiple partner hires and promotions are the theme this week.

Addleshaw Goddard's City office has swooped on Manches' employment team to bring in ex-senior partner Alasdair Simpson, and its head of employment, Jane Amphlett, as partners.

Richard Yeomans arrives as a senior associate.

London firm Mishcon de Reya has two new partners: IT lawyer Kiran Sandford from Taylor Wessing, and finance specialist Matthew Lindsay from Bird & Bird.

Two new corporate partners for Simmons & Simmons: Ed Baker, formerly a senior corporate associate at Ashurst Morris Crisp, and in Frankfurt, Wolfgang Hess from Clifford Chance Pnder, where he led the media team.

Also in the City, Baker & McKenzie has made up Luis Gomez (EU, competition and trade), Corinna Mitchell (finance) and Kirsty Wilson (corporate).

It now has 71 partners in its London office.

Three new partners for Worcester-based defendant personal injury firm Everatt & Co.

Mike Rogers has moved from Weightman Vizards, while Anthony Bushell and Jennifer Bates have been promoted.

Up in Liverpool, criminal defence firm Burton Copeland has brought in partners Michael Hogan and John Brown from Paul Crowley & Co.

DWF has made up three partners in its Liverpool office.

Dave Waring (insurance), Gareth McIntegart (corporate), and Guy Halsall (property) mean it now has 56 partners across the north-west.

Nearby in Manchester, contentious construction specialist Paul Donnelly has joined Weightman Vizards as a partner from Addleshaw Goddard.

Also in Manchester, Rowe Cohen has recruited mergers and acquisitions specialist Andrew Curwen as a partner from Cobbetts, and Lopian Wagner has promoted Richard Stone from associate to salaried partner in its road traffic accident department.

In Shropshire, Lanyon Bowdler has promoted John Merry, head of employment in its Telford office, to partner.

Commercial and property litigator Clare Brady has been promoted to partner at Nottingham firm Berryman Shacklock.

Bristol firm TLT has hired Richard Pincher from Martineau Johnson in Birmingham, where he was head of corporate tax.

Family partner Judith Ball has joined Woking-based Robbins Olivey as its ninth partner.

She moves from Callaghans in Guildford.

A trio of newly-qualifieds have joined Bournemouth-based Steele Raymond: Louise Maidment (litigation) from City firm Nabarro Nathanson, Julian Spence (commercial property) from Pitmans in Reading, and Kathryn Hillier (private client in Wimborne) from Yeovil's Porter Dodgson.

Nick Martin, formerly a partner at Bath firm Withy King, has joined Bonallack & Bishop in Salisbury as an associate to head the trust and probate team.

Bristol firm Meade King has brought in private client and capital tax planning assistant Victoria Cook from Burges Salmon.

In Cardiff, Mark Watson has qualified into the litigation and employment department at MLM Solicitors.

Cheltenham firm Willans has promoted two solicitors to associate: William Morse in employment and Laurence Lucas in commercial property.

As well as new partners, Worcester-based defendant personal injury firm Everatt & Co has brought in Jeff Smith and Doug McLeod from Weightman Vizards and Kathy Knight from Black Country firm George Green, and kept on Jackie Quinn after qualification.

In Derby, Robinsons has two new assistant solicitors.

Simon Trees (commercial litigation) joins from Shoosmiths' Northampton office, and Elizabeth Murphy (commercial property) moves from Edwards Geldard in Derby.

Also in Derby, Flint Bishop & Barnett has hired newly-qualified solicitor Kuldip Bhatti to its commercial property department.

He moves from Enoch Evans in Walsall.

In Manchester, corporate finance specialist Jim Truscott has joined Heatons from DWF.

Johanna Nolan, who joined Manchester firm Fox Brooks Marshall as a legal secretary 12 years ago, has qualified into the firm's commercial litigation team.

Mandy Lord has joined Keoghs in Bolton as a property assistant from Savage Crangle in Skipton.

To East Anglia, where Niel Ackermann has joined Cambridge firm Hewitsons as a senior intellectual property solicitors, leaving the London office of US firm Dorsey & Whitney.

Back to London where litigator John Evans has joined Kerman & Co from Hamlins.

Also in central London, Katherine Lissanevitch has qualified into the criminal department of Simons Muirhead & Burton.

Three new assistants at Holborn firm Teacher Stern Selby: litigator Navinder Grover joins from Surrey firm Mundays, while Giles Bennett from Reid Minty in London and newly-qualified Kelly Whitfield join the company/commercial department.
