Mundays gets pally with network to boost global profile
Surrey firm Mundays has launched an informal network of firms around the world with the aim of boosting its international workload and profile.
Senior partner Peter Munday has been working on developing the 'best friends network' since the summer.
Lawyers from 11 countries - from firms including Burness in Scotland, Eugene F Collins in Ireland and US practice Schiff Hardin & Waite - have joined the network.
The other members come from Barbados, Egypt, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.
It is hoped that firms from other parts of the globe will also sign in time.
'It's come about because we are finding more and more the need to put our clients in touch with good corporate and commercial lawyers overseas,' Mr Munday said.
'This is a network of people we have worked with and trust.'
The network will not form an exclusive arrangement as some firms already have other 'best friends' in the UK, he explained.
But he added: 'Hopefully, a by-product of this will be to generate work from these firms into our practice as well.'
