Nelsons hits charity goal in one

There is nothing like a picture of very minor celebrities to get Obiter's pulse racing, and Leeds firm Nelson & Co has served us admirably with this effort, which marks a fund- raising golf event for Macmillan Cancer Relief which made 7,550.

In the foreground is Pat Whalley from the charity, while managing partner Andrew Linden is to the right.

But most excitingly, we have the journeyman former Scottish footballer John Hendrie next to him (he is actually a sports consultant with the firm) and he managed to rope in one-time Leeds and England left-back Tony Dorigo, rather sweetly pictured in the traditional footballer crouch.

Tony Hughes (left) is the Macmillan chairman for West Yorkshire while Alan Garbutt (pictured at the back) from Northcroft Construction helped organise the event with the firm.
