Technology for Business has adapted its Partner for Windows practice and case management system to run on the Linux operating system in addition to industry standard operating systems Microsoft and Novell.

Meticulus Solutions has launched Red Letter, an e-mail solution it said offers security and proof of delivery.
The system, which requires no additional software installation, works on a secure server appliance, situated within the sender's firewall.
E-mails are composed as normal, and tagged to be sent by recorded delivery.
Recipients then receive a notification e-mail, telling them they have new mail ready for collection on entry of a previously agreed password.
The sender gets an automatic receipt once the e-mail is accessed by the recipient.

CBitSoft has launched a modular conveyancing system called the Case Family.
It is made up of CaseCollect, CaseQuote, CaseMan and CaseTrack, which can be bought separately or together.
It provides Internet integration for collecting quotation requests, as well as enabling clients and other parties to view the progress of their cases on-line.
CaseMan checks its own database daily and automatically produces forms and communications that are due.
Legal training firm Semple Piggot Rochez has issued a multimedia training product aimed at small to medium-sized firms.
It features a twice-yearly legal update on CD-Rom containing six audio visual presentations by specialist lawyers on criminal law, litigation, employment law, family law, property law and welfare law.
They are supported by an on-line service offering additional updating material.
Each presentation is accredited for one hour of continuing professional development.
An annual subscription costs 499 plus VAT per firm.
E-conveyancing system ONESEARCH Direct, which provides solicitors with local search information within a guaranteed five days, has extended its service to Cheshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire, Merseyside, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire.
The service costs a flat fee of 100.
