Data Encryption Systems in Taunton has launched an addition to its DESlock+ secure deletion facility. The DESlock+ Shredder is a secure deletion facility designed to enable users to encrypt data at the point of deletion and make it impossible to retrieve at a later date. It protects against identity theft and the exposure of sensitive information. It includes folder encryption, mountable encrypted files, e-mail encryption, encrypted compressed files and text window and clipboard encryption.
Philips has released a scaleable dictation and transcription software system, SpeechExec, to handle sound files from recording to archiving. The system uses an intuitive interface and can be used on a local network or via the Internet. Dictation sound files are automatically transferred via a company network, sent by e-mail or uploaded on to a server. Jobs can be labelled as urgent, and a tracking facility enables clients to monitor work in progress. Job data is accessible during typing. The software can be installed centrally rather than on individual PCs.
Axxia Systems has launched a cheque requisition module for tracking the progress of cheques, as part of its process-enabled management system. The software will be available in two versions. A base product for standard client or office cheques will have a fixed input screen and a fixed two-stage approval process. An enhanced version for a range of posting types will offer an input screen that can be defined by users, with a multi-stage approval process.
Vogon International has launched an economy data recovery service for when the need to recover data is less urgent. A free diagnosis is completed within three to five business days and provides businesses with a report detailing the amount of data recoverable, and the time and cost required to retrieve it.
Eclipse Legal Services has added boxed intranets to its range of IT services. The intranets provide secure, internal Web sites for staff, giving them remote access to centralised practice news, discussion forums and legal documentation. The boxed intranets use pre-defined - rather than bespoke - structures, which make them more economical.
Two Step Software has released a new version of its Corporate Focus software for corporate governance. The system is an entirely browser-based method of accessing information on a company's ownership information. It enables clients to track stock options and restricted stock, automatically cancelling options where appropriate if employees have left the company. Information on subsidiary organisations is available as an on-screen chart, and an improved task management system reminds users of dates for filings, annual meetings and other events, sending reminder e-mails to users. The system can be accessed outside the office.
Verist Research in India has launched a knowledge process outsourcing service aimed at law firms, to provide statistics and information on foreign laws. The areas covered by the research include patent drafting, research and development, software, biotechnology and intellectual property.
