I write in response to Paul Manski's interesting letter (see [2005] Gazette, 24 February, 14).
I have been admitted since 1 March 1967 and I have had no claim made against me personally. I set up on my own on 1 March 1987 and I have had no claim against my firm since that date.
The Solicitors Indemnity Fund should prepare a list of those solicitors like myself who have never made a claim on the fund and distribute it pro-rata as to the length of their 'no claims'. This would be applying the maxims of equity to this hybrid fund.
