Child support reform - 2002

There have been major changes recently proposed in Parliament that will radically change the way the Child Support Agency works in the future.

The agency would like to inform solicitors of the availability of scheduled presentations on these changes.

The presentations are free to all solicitors with an interest in family law and can be arranged at a venue and time to suit individual practices.

The presentation takes the form of a brief introduction, an overview of the reforms and ends with an open question and answer session.

Should more specific topics such as appeals, departures, disputed parentage, etcetera, be of interest then inform the agency and it will include these in an extended presentation.

Normal presentations last approximately two hours.

Should practices be in a position to host an event for ten or more delegates, then let the agency know the dates in mind and it will confirm a presentation.

Should a practice cater for fewer than ten delegates then register that interest and the agency will organise a presentation at a venue with other solicitors in the area.
