Hussein Karimjee and Alnoor Kassam practising as Hussein KarimjeeOn 23 October the professional regulation adjudication panel of the Office of the Supervision of Solicitors resolved to intervene at the practice of the above-named solicitors, who practised at Dawson House, Northolt Road, Harrow, Middlesex HA2 8EB under the firm name of Hussein Karimjee.Mr Nigel Coates ofRussell-Cooke of 2 Putney Hill, Putney, London SW15 6AB, was appointed to act as the Society's agent and he took possession of all Hussein Karimjee's files on 26 October 2001.Following the intervention, a disposal of all Hussein Karimjee's files has takenplace to the Northwood Law Practice of 17 The Broadway,Joel Street, Northwood Hills, Middlesex HA6 1NU, tel: 01923 826208.The disposal was effective on 1 November 2001.Please note that neither Mr Karimjee nor Mr Kassam was suspended as a result of the intervention.
Mr Karimjee is now working for the Northwood Law Practice.Michael Geoffrey FranceOn 9 November 2001 the Law Society intervened in the practice of the above-named solicitor, who practised at 57 Radford Road, Hyson Green, Nottingham, NG7 5DR, under the firm name of Michael France.Mr P Kalaher of Bird, Wilford & Sale of 20 Churchgate, Loughborough, MDX 19607 Loughborough, tel: 01509 232611, has been appointed to act as the Society's agent.Solicitor's clerkWith effect from the date noted below, the adjudication panel has ordered that no solicitor should employ or remunerate the following person in connection with practice as a solicitor, except in accordance with the written permission of the Law Society for such period and subject to such conditions as might be specified in the permission (section 43(2) of the Solicitors Act 1974):
