INTERVENTIONS
Gerald Owen Wood, formerly practising as JP Hall & Co
On 24 May 2002, the professional regulation adjudication panel of the Office for the Supervision of Solicitors (OSS) resolved to intervene in the above practice, at 56 High Street, Spennymoor, County Durham, on the grounds of bankruptcy against Gerald Owen Wood.
John Wood of Blackett Hart & Pratt of Kepier House, Belmont Business Park, Belmont, Durham DH1 1TW, tel: 0191 384 0840, has been appointed to act as the Law Society's agent and he took possession of all client monies and dead files relating to the firm JP Hall & Co on 29 May 2002.
All live JP Hall & Co matters were disposed to McCarron & Smallcombe before the intervention took place.
Hugh Francis Harris-Evans
On 30 July 2002, the panel intervened into the practice of the above-named solicitor, who practised at Regus House, George Curl Way, Southampton International Business Park, Southampton, Hampshire, under the firm name of Hamiltons.

Pursuant to the intervention, Mr Harris-Evans' practising certificate has been suspended.

With effect from the date noted, a committee of the OSS has ordered that no solicitor should employ or remunerate the following person in connection with practice as a solicitor, except in accordance with the written permission of the Law Society for such period and subject to such conditions as might be specified in the permission (section 43(2) of the Solicitors Act 1974):
