INTERVENTIONS

Michael Robert TaylorOn 14 November 2002, the professional regulation adjudication panel of the Office for the Supervision of Solicitors resolved to intervene in the practice of Michael Robert Taylor, who practised at 1st Floor, 226a Dogsthorpe Road, Peterborough PE1 3PB under the firm name Michael R Taylor. Paul Kalaher of Bird Wilford & Sale of 20 Church Gate, Loughborough, Leicestershire LE11 1UD, tel: 01509 232611, has been appointed to act as the Law Society's agent and he took possession of all Michael R Taylor practice papers on 18 November 2002. Pursuant to the intervention, Mr Taylor's practising certificate has been suspended.

Periasamy Mathialagan practising as Mathis SolicitorsOn 5 November 2002, the panel intervened in the practice of the above-named solicitor, who practised at 231-232 Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre, London SE1 6TE and 21 St George's Road, London SE1 6ES. John Gould of Russell-Cooke, 2 Putney Hill, Putney, London SW15 6AB, DX 59456 Putney, tel: 020 8789 9111, has been appointed to act as the Society's agent.

Mr Mathialagan's practising certificate has been suspended.

John Colin Marshall and Mark Julian Hidveghy On 20 November 2002, the panel intervened into the practices of the above-named solicitors, who practised at 7 High Street, Rayleigh, Essex SS6 7EU as Wiseman Marshall, and at 2A Station Road, Gidea Park, Romford, Essex RM2 6DA as Marshall Simpson. Solicitors' clerks

With effect from the dates noted below, an adjudicator (acting under delegated powers from the Law Society) has ordered that no solicitor should employ or remunerate the following person in connection with practice as a solicitor, except in accordance with the written permission of the Law Society for such period and subject to such conditions as might be specified in the permission (section 43(2) of the Solicitors Act 1974):
