Beveridge Gauntlett Solicitors

On 14 February 2003, the professional regulation adjudication panel of the Office for the Supervision of Solicitors resolved to intervene in the practice of Sarah Beveridge and Matthew Gauntlett, who practised at Rosebank Chambers, Rosebank Parade, Reading Road, Yateley, Hampshire GU46 7RN, under the firm name of Beveridge Gauntlett.

Nigel Coates of Russell-Cooke, of 2 Putney Hill, Putney, London SW15 6AB, tel: 020 8789 9111, has been appointed to act as the Society's agent and he took possession of all Beveridge Gauntlett practice papers on 17 February 2003.

Pursuant to the intervention, Mr Gauntlett and Miss Beveridge's practising certificates have been suspended with immediate effect.

Adewole Adenle

On 11 March 2003, the panel intervened in the practice of the above-named solicitor, who practised at 2 Dorset Square, London NW1 6PU and 25 West Cottages, West Hampstead, London NW6 1RJ, under the firm name of Samuel Adenle (formerly Samuel Davis).

Charles Metherell of Bevan Ashford of 1 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1LF (DX 1058 London/Chancery Lane, tel: 020 7421 4400) has been appointed to act as the Society's agent.

For the avoidance of doubt, the intervention does not relate to the firm of Samuel Davis & Co of 36 Watford Way, Hendon, London.

Mr Adenle had formerly been a partner in that firm but had left recently to become a sole practitioner as Samuel Adenle & Co.

It is only to Mr Adenle's firm that the intervention relates.

Timothy Carswell

On 25 March 2003, the panel resolved to intervene in the practice of the above-named solicitor, who practised at Prince Rupert House, 64 Queen Street, London EC4R 1AD, under the firm name Tim Carswell Solicitors.

John Weaver of Russell-Cooke, of 2 Putney Hill, Putney, London SW15 6AB, tel: 020 8789 9111, has been appointed to act as the Law Society's agent and he took possession of all Tim Carswell Solicitors' practice papers on 27 March 2003.

Mr Carswell has informed the Law Society of his wish to contest the intervention.

David Andrew Gatherer

On 4 April 2003, the Law Society intervened in the practice of the above-named solicitor, who practised at Court Buildings, 19a Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3HL, under the firm name Carpenters.
