On-line services launched to help with human rights
Implementation of the Human Rights Act 1998 and human rights-compliant Armed Forces Discipline Act 2000 this week has seen the launch of four on-line services.
Butterworths LEXIS Direct has produced Human Rights Direct, a 'one-stop reference point for human rights issues'.
It is modelled on Butterworths existing on-line service provided for the judiciary.
Jordan Publishing has put its UK Human Rights Reports on the Web.
The reports are available free until the end of the year.
Thereafter users will have to pay either an annual subscription or on a 'pay as you go' basis.
Next week, Context is launching its human rights database, part of the Justis.com Web site. The army has put together on-line information on military law to coincide with the Armed Forces Discipline Act, which incorporates the Human Rights Act into the forces' internal discipline system.
