Model legal provisions and guidance notes on the drafting of planning agreements has been issued by the Department for Communities and Local Government following work done with the Law Society. The aim is to help speed up negotiations on planning obligations. The work was done by the Society planning and environmental law committee, Pat Thomas of City firm SJ Berwin, David Brock of East Anglia firm Mills & Reeve, and Stephen Taylor and colleagues at Swindon Borough Council.
