Preliminary notice of Law Society Council election

Preliminary notice is hereby given under by-law 56 that a vacancy exists in the office of a Council member for the following constituency: Constituency No.2 - The City of London.

This vacancy has arisen by the resignation of Lesley Anne MacDonagh.

The council has fixed 26 January 2001 as the election date for filling this vacancy.

The successful candidate will serve the unexpired portion of Ms MacDonagh's term of office, that is, until the conclusion of the AGM in 2003, being eligible for re-election thereafter.

Nominations should be received by the Chief Executive, The Law Society, The Law Society's Hall, 113 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1PL (LDE 56) not later than 14 December 2000.
