Twelve members of the public with recent experience of inquests are to help Parliament scrutinise the new draft Coroner Bill, which has already made news for the introduction of a plain English version sitting side by side with the technical statutory language in the Bill. Constitutional affairs minister Harriet Harman said: 'This is as much about a better way of making new law as it is about putting bereaved people at the centre of a service designed to help them. It aims to ensure that MPs are better informed.'
