Reaching for the stars
Our insatiable appetite for pictures of solicitors with celebrities of any calibre is more than well served this week, first by Surrey firm Stevens & Bolton, which recently sponsored a business lunch in Guildford addressed by the man in the white suit, former MP Martin Bell (pictured below right with the firm's managing partner, Michael Laver).
'He is pictured shortly before having to return to London to appear on that evening's Channel Five news programme with Kirsty Young,' a press release explains, somewhat overawed by the firm's brush with so much fame.
Meanwhile, former film producer Lord Puttnam was on hand to open the latest exhibition at the art gallery run by London firm Collyer-Bristow in its offices.
'An Acre of Green Grass' is an exhibition of contemporary Irish art - it is sponsored by Allied Irish Bank, will benefit leading Irish charity Co-operation Ireland, and guests were treated to Guinness, salmon and soda bread, and Irish fiddle music.
Pictured (above) from left are Tony Kennedy, chief executive of Co-operation Ireland, artist Francis Tansey, Joanna Kennedy, the aggressive-looking (to judge by the photo, at least) head of dispute resolution at Collyer-Bristow, and Lord Puttnam.
