On 2 August 2002, the professional regulation adjudication panel of the Office of the Supervision of Solicitors (the panel) intervened in the practice of the above-named solicitor, who practised at Suite 87, The Hop Exchange, 24 Southwark Street, London SE1 1TY under the firm name of Tom Beesley.

Robert Greenfield and James Smithson
On 24 July 2002, the panel intervened in the practice of the above-named solicitors, who practised at 59-61 The Broadway, Haywards Heath, West Sussex RH16 3AT under the firm name of Smithson Greenfield.
The firm had closed earlier this year and the intervention related to residual files and client monies.

On 22 July 2002, the Law Society intervened in the practice of the above-named solicitor, who practised at 11 Stone Street, Llandovery, Dyfed under the firm name of Richard Jenkins & Co.

Carrick Carr & Wright
On 23 August 2002, the panel resolved to intervene in the practice of John Wright, Philip Goodall, Michael East and David Prescott, who practised at Norwich House, Saville Street, Hull HU1 3ES and Appleton House, 3A Wednesday Market, Beverley, North Humberside, HU17 0DG under the firm name of Carrick Carr & Wright.
Victoria Davey of Nelson & Co of St Andrews House, St Andrews Street, Leeds LS3 1LF, tel: 0113 227 0100, DX 713103 Leeds, has been appointed to act as the Society's agent and she took possession of all Carrick Carr & Wright practice papers on 5 September 2002.
Pursuant to the intervention, the aforementioned partners practising certificates have been suspended with immediate effect.
Carrick Read and Carrick Read Insolvency
The Gazette has been asked to make it clear that the above firm of solicitors and licensed insolvency practitioners respectively, who are situated at Norwich House, Saville Street, Hull HU1 3ES are unaffected and entirely separate practices to Carrick Carr & Wright.
