'Sentencing of Robbery'.

A green paper from the Sentencing Advisory Panel proposing that the Court of Appeal should issue new sentencing guidelines on robbery.

There are currently no comprehensive appellate sentencing guidelines.

The provisional proposals are based on a new approach to assessing the seriousness of the robbery, based on the degree of violence and intimidation used.
