Revved up: Ben Reeves is a marketing dream for City firm Masons.
First of all, the 16-year-old is already a racing champion, displaying the speed, quick reactions and commitment that any law firm is more than happy to be associated with.
The firm started sponsoring him in 1999, when Ben, on his 14th birthday, became the youngest driver ever to qualify for the racing driver licence.
He has now just been crowned the 2001 champion in the BRSCC (British Racing and Sports Car Club) T-Car racing programme.
T-Cars, which have a 1600cc engine capable of speeds of 100mph, were introduced in 1999 to fill the gap between karts and racing cars, and are designed to be the safest car available.
Ben is also, a note from Masons mentions in as much passing as it can, the son of Ian Reeves, group deputy chairman of High-Point Rendel.
So, by any coincidence we asked the firm, is High-Point Rendel a client of Masons? 'Erm, yes,' came a very small voice down the telephone.
