The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall visited the Supreme Court last week, opening a series of events to mark the court’s 10th anniversary as the final court of appeal in the UK for civil cases and for criminal cases from England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The royal visitors met justices of the court, including president Lady Hale, as well as members of the staff.

The Queen opened the court, at the former Middlesex Guildhall in Westminster, in October 2009.
