Saddling up
The battle for the most unlawyer-like photograph to accompany a press release for our 'Moving On' section has reached a new level thanks to this tremendous effort from Liverpool-based Hill Dickinson.
Commercial property lawyer Brent Williams has joined its Chester office (see [2003] Gazette, 6 February, page 12), but the picture indicates his private passion.
In his spare time, Mr Williams has a thoroughbred racehorse stud business with three brood mares that he has run for the past seven years.
His successes to date include a runner in the One Thousand Guineas, and two winners and a placing at the Chester Races in June 2001 - putting pressure for the title of Solicitor King of the Turf on Andrew Reid of London firm Reid Minty, who is a successful racehorse trainer in his spare time.
Should the pair ever come up against each other professionally, we hope any dispute could be sorted by a quick gallop rather than something so a dull as a court hearing.
