Like most of the profession, I suspect I wait with trepidation for the compulsory imposition of the ill-conceived home information packs scheme, which has been invented by the ignorant and apparently accepted by our professional body with all the passivity of a lamb to the slaughter.
It has always eluded me as to why we should accept that it will become illegal to sell one's own property except by this method. Only one thing should be fought for and that is to make the scheme voluntary. It will then die a natural death. Is the Law Society fighting for this? I fear not.
