Show stoppers

Lawyers are just 'too damn dull' to be in the audience of the famous Late Show with David Letterman in the US, the New York Observer has reported.

Law firms in the city saw the seats as a nice perk, securing large blocks of them for staff, summer associates and whomever else they wanted to keep on the right side of.

While the makers of the show deny that they have put a stop to it, one US lawyer is quoted as saying that when the firm asked for tickets, it was told that 'herds of lawyers are no longer welcome'.

A staff member told the firm that lawyers are 'boring' and 'not great in a crowd'.
