Referring to the Master of the Rolls signing each practising certificate (see [2005] Gazette, 3 November, 14), I note from mine that Lord Woolf's signature is electronic.
I remember thinking that it would have been nice for him to have signed it in person. My dad is still in practice (50 years at the same firm) and his certificate has Lord Denning's original autograph. Maybe it's the risk of RSI that has ended the practice.
