City firm Herbert Smith has launched a US securities practice in Singapore with the hire of Nick-Anthony Buford from Washington DC-based firm Hogan & Hartson. Veronica O'Shea, managing partner of the firm's Singapore office, said: 'Nick will be able to help drive the growth of Herbert Smith's corporate practice in south-east Asia and India.'
