The owner of solicitorsfromhell has vowed to keep the site going, despite losing the latest in a string of libel cases.

In the High Court last week, London firm Brett Wilson forced site owner Rick Kordowski to make an undertaking to the court: not to publish any further reference to the firm or partner Iain Wilson; not to republish a number of comments set out in the particulars of Brett Wilson’s claim; and to remove outstanding web links on solicitorsfromhell.co.uk by the end of the week. Brett Wilson waived costs and damages.

In the three known High Court cases brought by solicitors and law firms since the end of September, injunctions were granted against Kordowski.

Kordowski insisted he will ‘never stop’ running the site, and that if somebody finds a way to ‘censor’ it, he will start another one. He said he plans to upgrade the site to include a real-time chat function and user forums.

Wilson said: ‘The false and defamatory allegations against myself and the firm were written by Mr Kordowski himself. Despite repeated requests to remove or modify the posting, Mr Kordowski refused to remove the defamatory material.

‘Accordingly, we issued proceedings so as to force the removal of the material. This step was taken with great reluctance, but unfortunately Mr Kordowski’s site has significant exposure on search engines; in fact at one point Google searches for our firm resulted in his listings and defamatory material appearing above our own website. Unfortunately, this appears to be a common feature for most firms listed on his site. The worry is that the client or prospective client sees the search engine result headed "Solicitor from HELL" and even without visiting his site, decides to go elsewhere.

‘Given we continue to act for clients in relation to the site and Mr Kordowski, we felt we had no alternative but to seek a permanent injunction preventing any recurrence.’
