Liverpool solicitor Andrew Holroyd has been chosen as Chancery Lane's Deputy Vice-President elect following a vote by the Law Society Council. Mr Holroyd is an immigration specialist and partner at legal aid firm Jackson & Canter. A council member since 1996, he is currently chairman of the standards board and a member of the main board. Mr Holroyd said: 'The solicitors' profession and the Law Society face a period of unprecedented reform. I look forward to representing all solicitors and ensuring that the profession maintains its reputation.' Mr Holroyd will take up the post in July, and is set to become President in 2008.
