Stunned By Costs

I have recently received a letter from a well-known firm of costs draftsmen, stating that they consider the costs shown in my schedule to be reasonable, and that they are prepared to pay them in full.

This has left me confused and bewildered.I would have liked to thank the firm concerned for treating the claim on its merits rather than sending out the usual standard letter - challenging the costs on the grounds of proportionality, the appropriate grade of fee earner, etcetera). However, 1 do not feel that 1 can identify the firm in this letter for fear of bringing it into disrepute with the more adversarial side of its profession.Jonathan Pidduck, Gambrills, Folkestone, Kent
