The Supreme Court’s new permanent exhibition – an immersive experience focusing on how the law affects everyone’s lives – is officially open to the public.

The Law and Us highlights 70 appeals which have been heard at the Supreme Court, the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council and the Appellate Committee of the House of Lords and their impact on society.

The exhibition also includes the court’s copy of Magna Carta, and a judge's ceremonial robe.

Supreme Court chief executive Vicky Fox said: ‘The Law and Us is an exciting, interactive new exhibition that brings the work of the Supreme Court and JCPC to life, showing how our cases shape society and affect people’s everyday lives.

The exhibition, which also includes three Supreme Court judges’ reflections on their career paths and a video from current president Lord Reed on how to ‘think like a judge’, is free to attend.
