In the hope of putting an end to the correspondence about which local authority has the fastest turnaround on local searches, I nominate Ribble Valley Borough Council as being unbeatable.

I dropped off an express search in the local DX on a Saturday afternoon, which would have been collected by the council on the Monday morning.

On Monday afternoon, the land charges department telephoned my office to say that the search was ready, and could be collected or placed in that evening's DX.

I collected it from the DX at 5pm.
