The long and winding road
Further proof that the days are long gone when solicitors performed a brisk sponsored walk round the park in their lunchtime to raise money for charity comes from Nick Lobb, who now works at Howes Percival in Milton Keynes.
Mr Lobb spent almost a year cycling 6,000 miles across South America, and has raised around 5,000 for the Leukaemia Research Fund.
Here, he is pictured taking a rest in Bolivia, where following the railway line was said to be better than the road, as only around 5% of Bolivia's roads are paved.
'The first doubtful station master agreed,' Mr Lobb tells Obiter, 'However, he added, I should still listen out for anything on the tracks when I was inside the tunnels.' Fortunately for the legal profession in the home counties, Mr Lobb made it unscathed.
