No, your eyes do not deceive you. A little program that the Gazette was shown at the launch of Windows Mobile 6 in April was a business card recogniser called WorldCard Mobile.
When we were shown a program that worked just using snapshots of business cards taken with a mobile device's camera, our scepticism reached a new zenith. But it seems to work well, and also works on Windows Mobile 5 units.
The Gazette tried it out on a handful of business cards last week on a new HTC TyTN, which has only a 2-megapixel camera, and results were very good, as was the usability of the software. We like it, and it seems to be only $25.
