The Bar Council has elected commercial and chancery silk Geoffrey Vos, head of 3 Stone Buildings in London, as its chairman for 2007. Timothy Dutton QC, a member of Fountain Court chambers, was elected vice-chairman. David Southern of 3 Temple Gardens will act as treasurer. The three take up their posts on 1 January 2007.
