Lord Justice Waller has been appointed vice-president of the Civil Division of the Court of Appeal, with effect from 1 October 2006. He succeeds Lord Justice Brooke, who has held the role for three years and who retires from the bench at the end of September. Lord Justice Neuberger has been appointed Deputy Head of Civil Justice, and will take over from Lord Justice Dyson from 1 January 2007.
