It seems rather remarkable to me that given all the detailed (and in may cases useless) information required in completing stamp duty land tax returns, the SDLT office fails to extend the courtesy of inserting the agent's reference on land transaction return certificates, resulting in yet more wasted time in the office locating the relevant file.
