Midlands firm Talbots has selected AIM's practice and case management solution Evolution. The system - which includes on-line time recording, automated document generation, accounts processing and reporting - has been rolled out to 50 users across the firm's Kidderminster, Stourbridge and Hagley offices.


North-west firm Hillyer McKeown has adopted a Galaxy Legal software system that enables clients to check the progress of their case through 24 hour access to a secure Web site. They can also receive updates by e-mail alert or text message. The system has been installed across the firm's five offices in Cheshire, Wirral and north Wales.



Fareham-based Now Legal, a conveyancing and property specialist practice set up in 2004, has employed Axxia's Eiion accounting software, Desktop fee-earner tools and Case Manager to all its staff. A second phase focusing on e-business tools is scheduled for early this year.



Case management software firm Eclipse has signed up 12 firms to various parts of its ProCLAIM system. They are: Barry Chapman Legal Services (Nottingham), City Lawyers (St Albans), Coan & Co (Stockport), Hardwicks (Chorley), Lane & Co (Walsall), Medico-Legal Photographic (Chorley), On Legal (Halifax), Paul Norton & Co (Luton), RJ Gill & Co (Wigan), Shacklocks (Mansfield), Sovereign Solicitors (Bradford), and Tasneem Ackers (Stockport).



The legal services team at Cherwell District Council has implemented Visualfiles' SolCase case management system.



City firm Lewis Silkin has become the first law firm to select the Cerberus remote backup and recovery solution from Datashare. The managed service will provide a disk-based back-up of all Lewis Silkin's operational data and make their critical systems available over the Internet in the event of a disaster.



Regional firm Mills & Reeve has chosen Interface Software's InterAction as its new client relationship management solution. The firm will integrate InterAction with Microsoft Outlook, Firmware practice management system and Desktop letter generation system to create a central repository of relationship intelligence for its lawyers, marketing and business development teams.
