Mark Hodgkinson has difficulty recruiting 'good people for wills and probate work' (see [2005] Gazette, 17 November, 15). I am sure that this is one consequence of the demise of wills probate and administration as a core subject on the legal practice course. A strong case can be made for its reinstatement.
