Two corporate hires for Osborne Clarke kick off this week's round-up. Moray Macpherson, formerly a partner at McGrigors, joins the Reading office, while Julian Gamble moves to the London office from US/UK firm Jones Day, where he was a senior associate.


City firm Berwin Leighton Paisner has taken the number of finance partners it has hired this year to five after international project finance specialist Agnieszka Klich joined from the London office of US firm Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy.


Litigator John Greager is promoted to partner at City firm Fox Williams.


Seven promotions at intellectual property firm Willoughby & Co: Maura Canavan, Chris Vale, Arty Rajendra, Karen Fong, Elliot Papageorgiou and Ben Goodger in London, and Rob Furneaux in Oxford.


Julie Reynolds has set up a niche practice, Julie Reynolds Solicitor, specialising in brain injury and other serious injury litigation in Tunbridge Wells. She left local firm Thomson Snell & Passmore a year ago, where she was an equity partner and head of personal injury.


John Sheath becomes managing partner of Kent-based Brachers.


Property lawyer James Simpson has been made up at Hewitsons' Cambridge office. Meanwhile, commercial property lawyer Yvette Morgan joins its Northampton office as partner designate. She leaves Denton Wilde Sapte in Milton Keynes.

At Stones in Exeter, residential property partner Gary Baker joins from Barker Gotelee in Ipswich, where he was head of property, while travel and tourism specialist Samantha Pucci is promoted to partner.


Nigel Crebbin, head of employment in Gorvins' Stockport office, has been made partner.


Leeds firm Godloves has brought in personal injury partner Andrew Charuk from Lupton Fawcett.

Melanie Carter joins the public law and human rights department at London firm Bindman & Partners as a senior associate from US/UK firm Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw.


In addition to its new partner, Leeds firm Godloves has hired Stephen Hattersley from Eversheds as an associate to head up the industrial diseases unit, while personal injury assistant Rashmi Dube joins from Irwin Mitchell.


Marc King has become a private client associate at Stockport-based Gorvins after completing his training contract.


In nearby Altrincham, Alexander Harris has brought in Zoe Holland, formerly head of clinical negligence at Jack Thornley Solicitors in Manchester, as an associate.


Myfanwy Buckeridge has joined Bristol firm Barcan Woodward's personal injury team as an assistant from Russell Jones & Walker, where she was a partner.

London firm Mishcon de Reya has taken on Surya Subedi, professor of international law and director of the centre for legal research at Middlesex University, as a consultant to spearhead its expansion into international arbitration concerned with financial disputes arising out of bilateral investment treaties.


Private client lawyer Eleanor Christian has left Dawsons to become a consultant at Lincoln's Inn firm Hunters.


Solicitor Dominic Regan becomes chief employment consultant at Brabners Chaffe Street in Liverpool, as well as running his own consultancy.

Nicholas Smith, who was a partner at Birmingham's Wragge & Co, is joining the asset finance group at investment bank Nomura in the newly created non-legal post of director.

City firm Lovells has hired accountant and share scheme specialist David Tuch as senior consultant from KPMG, where he was a partner.

has appointed non-lawyer Will Wesson as a non-executive director. Mr Wesson was formerly chief executive of the Whitehall & Industry Group, and group human resources director of Costain. He currently chairs the Centre for Public Innovation.
