Partners



Much of this week’s action has been among more juniors lawyers in the regions, but there have been some partner moves in the capital.


Alan Jones: with Averta's emplyment team

Helen Pidgeon joins the family practice at Campbell Hooper from Margaret Bennett, where she was a partner.


Glovers promotes Philip Shotter in its commercial property department. The firm now has 13 partners.



Commercial property specialist David Hershkorn joins Brecher Abram from SJ Berwin, where he was an assistant.



Teacher Stern Selby has promoted Janice Northover in the property litigation team.



Bela Zavery: assistant at Edwards Geldard

To the midlands, where Alan Jones joins specialist employment firm Averta in Birmingham; he moves from the local office of DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary, where he was a partner and former head of the employment team.


In Manchester, Michael Rhatigan joins the commercial property team at Lockett Loveday McMahon from the local office of Eversheds, where he was a partner.

Charles Charvet joins London firm
Bircham Dyson Bell as associate and head of the residential property team from City firm Forsters.



Southampton firm Moore & Blatch has appointed Katrina Wild as a corporate-commercial assistant; she moves from Abbey National in London.



Joanna Townley: joins wills team at Aarons

Moving west, two return to Bristol firm Wards as commercial associates: Sarah Ashworth rejoins after working in the legal department of The National Trust, and Christopher Scroggs returns from the local office of Laytons. Emma Kerry is appointed assistant in the civil litigation team, having recently qualified with the firm. Meanwhile Rachael Halling-Brown joins Wards’ Weston-super-Mare office as an assistant solicitor in the wills, trusts and probate department, moving from Chippenham firm Wood Awdry & Ford.


In East Anglia, Kester Cunningham John promotes Jenny Holt and Simon Davis to associate in the personal injury department at the firm’s Thetford office.



Mohammed Ahsan becomes an assistant in the claims department of Telford firm Martin-Kaye on qualification.



Edwards Geldard has appointed Bela Zavery, previously at Leicester firm Douglas Wemyss, as an assistant in the commercial property team at its Derby office.



In the north-west, Joanna Townley joins the wills, trusts and tax team at Chester firm Aaron & Partners from north Wales firm Gamlins.



Stephen Bell: property assistant at Kippax

Weightmans has strengthened the healthcare team in its Liverpool office with the recruitment of mental health and public law specialist Becky Fitzpatrick, who was previously at St Helens firm J Keith Park & Co.


Scott Sands joins Manchester firm JMW as a corporate assistant from Napthens in Preston.



Bolton firm Kippax Beaumont Lewis has recruited Stephen Bell as a commercial property assistant from Hills in Bolton.



Jo Grady: appointed by Robert Muckle

Leeds firm Godloves has two new assistants: Samantha Haslam joins the matrimonial team from the local office of Gordons and Wendy Furness joins the wills, probate and trusts department from London firm Greenhouse Stirton & Co.


Two corporate and commercial assistants join the Leeds office of McCormicks: Liz Power from the Leeds office of national firm Eversheds and Rachel Dean from Huddersfield firm Eaton Smith.



Ross Clark is appointed a senior corporate assistant in the Harrogate office of Hempsons, moving from local firm Davidson Webber. Hempsons also has four new assistants in Harrogate: Andrew Thomas joins the commercial team from construction and infrastructure company Jarvis; Michael Lacey joins the commercial property team from the Co-operative Group CWS, where he headed the property legal team; Angela Gorton moves to the employment team from Hammonds in Leeds; Paul Spencer also joins the employment department, moving from Laytons in Manchester.



Jo Grady joins the commercial group at Newcastle firm Robert Muckle as an associate, moving from an in-house role at transport group Arriva.



Ross Clark: corporate assistant at Hempsons

Consultants



Robert Sprawson has been appointed consultant in the corporate team at London firm Reid Minty; he was formerly a consultant at City firm Denton Wilde Sapte.


Keith Edmunds joins the conveyancing team at Birmingham firm Carvers as a consultant, after a career break.



Non-lawyer Alan Hart joins Hull and York firm Rollits as a specialist tax consultant from the London office of accountancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers
, where he was a partner.
