US firm Hogan & Hartson has recruited Rod Baker to launch a UK litigation practice; he moves from Stephenson Harwood.


US/UK firm Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham has appointed John Enstone to the intellectual property, technology and sport group in its London office; he moves from national firm Addleshaw Goddard.

Schillings welcomes back entertainment specialist John Kelly as head of its music division; he returns from Australian firm Kelly & Co, where he was a partner.


Darlingtons has promoted commercial property specialist Vijay Parikh to equity partner and recruited David Rosen as head of litigation; he joins from David Rosen & Co.


Moving to the midlands, litigation specialist Sukhi Ghuman joins Leicester firm Edwards & Grant. He will continue to act as managing director of security firm Octavian Security.


Paul Jefferson joins the corporate team at Halliwells‘ Liverpool office from DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary, where he was a partner. He is Halliwells’ first partner-level recruit since the merger with Liverpool firm Cuff Roberts in January.


In Manchester, Horwich Farrelly promotes personal injury specialist Antony Wong.


John Hardman & Co promotes Paul Cain to personal injury partner.


Ranj Matharu joins north-east firm Crutes as head of its new licensing unit; she will be based in the Newcastle and Middlesbrough offices and moves from Newcastle firm Short Richardson & Forth.

Laurence Weeks joins Cambridge firm Taylor Vinters as associate and head of the restructuring and insolvency team; he moves from City firm Ashurst.
