Media and entertainment firm Harbottle & Lewis appoints the former Polydor director of legal and business affairs, Paul Jones, its head of music.



The London office of US firm Reed Smith hires tax specialist Harriet Morgan from Travers Smith.



Withers expands its funds, investment and business tax group by bringing in Andrew Terry from the London office of US firm LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae.



Isabel Davies, former head of intellectual property (IP) at Howrey’s London office, joins CMS Cameron McKenna as a senior partner in its IP team.



US firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman boosts its London corporate group with the arrival of partner Simon Fielder and associate Caroline Grange. They both join from Osborne Clarke.



Specialist pensions firm Sacker & Partners promotes three: Helen Ball in the public sector team, Janet Brown in the schemes in transaction unit, and Peter Murphy in the dispute resolution unit.



Trowers & Hamlins recruits Adrian Leavey in its commercial property group; he was formerly a partner at Fladgate Fielder.



Barlow Robbins expands its family team into Guildford with the move of Judith Ball, who is promoted to equity partner, from its Woking office. The firm has also bolstered its family team by hiring assistant Louise Connolly, who was previously a locum at Guillaumes, and consultant Karen Barham from Surrey firm Mundays.



Mundays, meanwhile, promotes four: Nicola Broadhurst in the corporate team, James O’Flinn in dispute resolution, and George Georgiou and David Willis in the real estate department.



Brighton firm Howlett Clarke promotes commercial litigation and personal injury specialist Alistair Rustemeyer.



Oxford firm Henmans takes on three new partners: Duncan Crine joins the professional indemnity team from Beachcroft, Rachael Smethurst moves from Bath firm Mowbray Woodwards to head the family team, and James Simpson joins from Marlow firm Moorcrofts to head the employment team.



In Leeds, DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary appoints Chris Marks to its real estate team; he was formerly national head of property at Hammonds.

Hampshire firm Moore & Blatch appoints Nicholas Johnson to its private client team from City-based investment bank Kleinwort Benson.



Catherine Merrell-Jones joins the family team at Coffin Mew & Clover’s Southampton office from local firm Gammon Bell & Co.



In Brighton, Gordon Bull joins Howlett Clarke’s commercial property team from Castles in Haywards Heath.



Dawn Gallie joins Stones’ employment team in Exeter from Swindon firm Lemon & Co, while commercial property solicitor Keith Griffiths joins the firm’s Taunton office from East Anglia firm Kester Cunningham John.

Marie Smith joins the property team at Leeds firm Milners on completion of her training contract with the firm.
