In the City, Berwin Leighton Paisner strengthens its financial services regulatory practice with the recruitment of Nathan Willmott, a Financial Services Authority investigations and enforcement action specialist from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Kirsty Corkum also joins the firm from Linklaters to work in its real estate team.



Pinsent Masons hires urban regeneration specialist Jacqueline Harkin from Eversheds.



Mishcon de Reya appoints Toby Greenbury from Olswang as director of international strategy and co-head of the India desk.



Dispute resolution lawyer Peter Smith and international arbitration specialist Antoine West join the commercial group at Holman Fenwick & Willan from Manches and Charles Russell respectively.



Robert Brodrick is promoted to partner in the private client department of Trowers & Hamlins.



Southampton firm Paris Smith & Randall promotes five: Tom Georgiou (commercial property), Huw Miles (family), Rupert Morton Curtis (residential property), David Roath (employment) and Mark Withers (commercial property). It now has 24 partners.



Moving north, Giles Clegg becomes a director in the corporate finance team at Leeds firm Lupton Fawcett. He joins from Cobbetts.



Mike Rainford is appointed head of the new business crime unit at Burton Copeland in Manchester. He was previously at local firm Betesh Fox.



In Cheshire, Colin Rowe leaves Gorvins to join the commercial property team at Aaron & Partners.

David Crosby and Warren Moore have combined to set up Crosby & Moore in Brighton. Mr Crosby previously traded as a sole practitioner, while Mr Moore was a partner at local firm Griffith Smith.

Kicking off in the north-west, Manchester firm Pabla & Pabla appoints two personal injury solicitors: Louise Prior from local firm Levys and Naeem Arshad from Keoghs in Coventry.



Jane Snape joins the commercial and residential property team at Birchall Blackburn’s Preston office as an assistant after completing her training contract with the firm.



In Leeds, Matthew Walsh leaves Blacks to join the commercial property department at Emsleys as an associate.



James Thompson joins Hammonds’ safety, health and environment group, moving from Eversheds in Newcastle. Richard Weatherhogg joins the group in London. He was previously at Travers Smith.



Staying in Leeds, Thompsons hires assistant solicitor Lucyanne Thomas for its personal injury department. She leaves Simpson Millar.



In the midlands, Birmingham-based Anthony Collins appoints Tim Jones as an associate in the property disputes team. He was previously with The Wilkes Partnership.



Frisby & Co in Stafford adds two to its team that prosecutes for the Health and Safety Executive: associate Ruth Barber and consultant Geoffrey Knipe, who both leave Ward Gethin in King’s Lynn.



Rebecca Head joins Keelys in Lichfield as its head of probate, moving from Hadens in Walsall.



To London, where Pinsent Masons recruits senior associate Lena Sentongo from Manches into its property team.



US firm Bryan Cave hires corporate specialist Andrew Hart from Finers Stephens Innocent as an associate in its London office.



Quastels Avery Midgen appoints assistant solicitor Sarah Leake to its corporate department; she moves from City firm Davis & Co.
