City firm Stephenson Harwood kicks off this week’s round-up, promoting seven and bringing its partnership total to 83. Those promoted in London are Edward Davis (commercial litigation), Matthew Gorman (corporate), Ted Harrison (real estate finance), Lucy Harrold (intellectual property) and Michael Woods (environment).



Elsewhere in London, SJ Berwin promotes 16. The nine promoted in London are: Nigel van Zyl, Ed Harris and Nick Plant (corporate), Joanne Footitt and Pat Ryan (real estate), Gareth Amdor (tax), James Gill (commerce and technology), Jen Yee Chan (finance) and Justin Michaelson (litigation). This takes the total number of partners across the firm to 170.



Wedlake Bell appoints two corporate partners – Tim Bird joins from US firm Dechert while the firm promotes Tony Lane.
