US firm Covington & Burling hires mergers and acquisitions specialist Martin Wright and litigator Roger Enock, both previously at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, for its London office.



US firm Howrey has recruited Tom McQuail from Lovells for its antitrust practice.



Elsewhere in the capital, Kingsley Napley promotes two: Michelle Harris in corporate and commercial, and Liam MacDonnell in real estate.



Media and entertainment practice Harbottle & Lewis hires Tony Ballard as head of its telecoms and broadcasting practice. He joins from Field Fisher Waterhouse.



Collyer Bristow hires Chris Parr (corporate) from City and St Albans-based KSB Law and Victoria Greig (employment) from Solnick & Co. It also promotes Rosamond McDowell to partner in private client.



Meanwhile, KSB Law promotes Kimberley Owen in its dispute resolution team to partner.



Jenny Cutts is made up in the private client team at Hyde Mahon Bridges.

South-east firm Blake Lapthorn Tarlo Lyons hires Andrew Wiseman as head of its environment group. He joins from City firm Trowers & Hamlins.



Reading firm Field Seymour Parkes promotes Dean Bickford and Marcus Francis in commercial property.



Property development specialist Richard Osborn joins Freeth Cartwright’s Leicester office as a partner from Eversheds in Birmingham.



Employment specialist Paul Roberts is promoted at Lichfield firm Keelys.



Celia Tildesley is promoted in the agricultural and rural affairs division at MFG in Telford.



Leeds firm Shulmans hires litigator Alan Herbert as a partner in its commercial property team. He moves from Ward Hadaway in Newcastle.



Also in Leeds, Levi Solicitors hires James Sarjantson from Hammonds as its first commercial and intellectual property partner.



Management



Harbottle & Lewis has appointed Gerrard Tyrell, head of its litigation group, as senior partner. He replaces Bob Storer, who becomes a consultant.

Jane Hughes joins the construction team at Collyer Bristow as an associate. She was previously at Kendall Freeman.



KSB Law promotes Gillian Price and Eleanor Richardson to associate in its commercial real estate department. Carol Elliott joins the department as an assistant solicitor from City firm Lawrence Graham.



Specialist crime and regulatory litigation firm Corker Binning has promoted Francesca Ingram to associate.
