David Merson joins Brecher’s property finance team from Clegg Manuel.



Nabarro strengthens its dispute resolution group by recruiting Peter Fitzpatrick and George Maling from the London office of US firm Howrey, where they were partners in the litigation team.



Vizards Wyeth hires two – Tom Henry (licensed trade) from The Reece-Jones Partnership in Kent, and Nicolas Oldham (professional indemnity) from Reynolds Porter Chamberlain.



Insolvency practitioner and business restructuring specialist Adrian Owen leaves Bond Pearce in Southampton to become a partner at Lamb Brooks in Basingstoke, Hampshire.



Andrew Smith joins the company and commercial team at Howes Percival in Milton Keynes. He was previously at Wragge & Co in London.



In the East Midlands, criminal and business defence specialist Cartwright King promotes Matthew Smith.



Fiona Teague takes up the position of associate partner at Keelys in Lichfield, moving from Geldards in Derby.



Nottingham firm Actons promotes Amanda Gordon (commercial property) and Simon Dakin (corporate and commercial) to director.



In Leeds, Blacks promotes Paul Lancaster in the family law department.



Emma Burgess is promoted at personal injury specialist firm Nesbit & Co in Bury, Lancashire.



Mark Evans joins Silverbeck Rymer in Liverpool as an associate partner. He was previously head of the personal injury department at Bartletts in Liverpool.



In the north-east, Crutes promotes Sue Howes, head of the firm’s housing litigation team, in Stockton on Tees.



In Wales, Melanie Standley is promoted in the defendant litigation team at Dolmans in Cardiff.

In the City, William Andrews joins the intellectual property department at Taylor Wessing as an associate. He moves from Bond Pearce in Southampton, where he was an assistant in the commercial department.



Associate Clark Hood joins the commercial litigation department at asb law’s Crawley office. He was previously at litigation specialist Kennedys in London.



Phillips in Basingstoke appoints three – Kelly-Jean Lees (employment law) from Shoosmiths, Rob Parker (family law) who qualified at Prettys in Ipswich, and Melanie Roberts (residential and commercial property), who was previously at Addison Madden in Plymouth.



North Hampshire firm Lamb Brooks recruits Louise Ervin to its litigation department after she qualified at Wragge & Co in Birmingham.



Julia Green moves to south-west firm Foot Anstey as an associate in the commercial property department. She was previously at Bond Pearce in Plymouth.



In Birmingham, Denise McKenna joins niche family law firm Benussi & Co. She leaves Lovells in London, where she was a senior associate in commercial dispute resolution.



Yorkshire commercial firm Rollits adds two to its office in Hull – Jennifer Kirman (dispute resolution) and Rachel Birkinshaw (property), who both qualified at the firm.



Elaine Webb joins the family department at Kerseys in Ipswich. She was previously at Haywards in Stowmarket.

Pamela Forte has set up niche media and entertainment law practice Forte Law in the Vale of Glamorgan. She was previously at S4C.

Michael Thomas Coxon is appointed as a salaried district chairman of the Appeals Tribunals, assigned to the Central Region based in Birmingham.



Yvonne Ruth Coppel is appointed as a circuit judge, assigned to the Northern Circuit, and based at the Liverpool civil and family courts.
