Collyer Bristow boosts its employment and dispute resolution teams by hiring Tania Goodman and Steven Loble as partners respectively from Seddons and Loble Solicitors.



Conrad Adam joins the family law department of Cumberland Ellis as a partner from Dawsons.



Adam Lambert joins the employment and pensions team at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert as a partner; he was previously head of employment at Fladgate Fielder.



Pinsent Masons boosts its planning and environmental team with the appointment of partner Daniel Drukarz from Pitmans in Reading.



Niche employment firm Doyle Clayton promotes Peter De Maria to partner.



Fenwick Elliott recruits Julie Stagg as a partner to spearhead its project procurement and delivery work; she was previously an associate at SJ Berwin.



Field Fisher Waterhouse hires US lawyer Joseph Carrico, who joins the firm’s derivatives and structured finance group as a partner, from financial services company Citi, where he was head of trading legal services Europe.



On the south coast, Lester Aldridge promotes eight associates to partner: in Bournemouth, John Townsend, Mark Benham, Suki Samra (all real estate), Paula Mason (banking and finance), Michael Veal (dispute resolution) and Victoria Jones (trusts and tax); in London, Paul Dosanjh (real estate) and Damian Vaile (marine). The firm now has 36 partners.



To the East Midlands, where Flint Bishop promotes commercial property solicitors Christine Pickup and Beverley Simms to partner; both will work from the Derby head office. The firm now has 23 partners.





Assistants/Associates



In the City, Richard Fisher joins the professional indemnity/insurance team of Bond Pearce from Fishburns.



Mishcon de Reya hires matrimonial lawyer Miles Geffin as its first professional support lawyer; before a short spell as deputy editor of the Solicitors Journal, he was a partner and joint head of the family department at CKFT.



National firm Berrymans Lace Mawer promotes seven to associate: in the London office, Ross Baker, Martin Jensen, and Alexander Traill, who all work in the professional indemnity team; in Birmingham, Charlotte Brown (insurance claims fraud); in Manchester, Naomi Grant (insurance claims fraud) and Elizabeth Keane (occupational disease); and in Leeds, Arion Jones (personal injury).



In Kent, Orpington-based Clarkson Wright & Jakes hires Nicky Androsov as an associate; she was previously an associate at Thomson Snell & Passmore.



On the south coast, employment law solicitor Graham Whitehouse joins Pengillys in Weymouth as an assistant; he previously worked in the human resources department at the Ministry of Defence.



In the Midlands, senior solicitor Patric Rouendaal joins professional indemnity firm Robin Simon in Birmingham from DLA Piper, where he was an associate.



Alexandra Melia joins the probate, tax and trusts department of Greene & Greene in Bury St Edmunds as an assistant; she was previously at Whatley Lane in Newmarket.





Other



Two join the London-based national pro bono charity LawWorks as project managers: newly qualified Alison Ingram moves

from Reynolds Parry Jones in High Wycombe, while Martin Curtis joins from the Manchester office of Addleshaw Goddard, where he was an associate.



New Firm



Emma del Torto and Michael Burne, previously a solicitor with Thompsons in Cardiff, and group legal director of Croydon-based financial services specialists Millfield Group respectively, have formed employment and commercial law firm ergo in Cardiff.



James Eveling has set up Eveling Legal + Advisory in Exeter, specialising in corporate/commercial and fractional property developments; he was previously head of the corporate/commercial team at Stones in Exeter.

Solicitor Merry Cocks has been appointed as salaried chairman of the Employment Tribunals (England and Wales). Ms Cocks has been assigned to the Birmingham region.
